Four friends' attempts to find employment and accommodation pits them against landlords and gangsters in Bangkok.

Based in Hazratganj, Advocate Ramesh Kumar gets evicted for not paying his rent, finds accommodation with a Nawab, but is subsequently evicted from there also after forcing a tenant of 20-years, Digambernath, to move out. Ramesh then falls for the latter's daughter, Shanti, dons a guise of an old man, calls himself Mirza, and becomes their paying guest. He is able to win her heart, convinces her dad to let him live there, as well as finds employment next door with Public Prosecutor Dayal.
